Frequently Asked
Questions
What is concierge medicine?
Concierge medicine is an innovative
approach to medical care that restores the integrity of the physician-patient
relationship. Rather than forcing doctors to rush through dozens
of appointments each day, the concierge approach allows physicians
to focus all their attention on patients while providing the
highest standards of personalized service and care. For individuals
whose lives are full and responsibilities varied, concierge medicine
provides the convenience they need and quality of care they deserve.
How does concierge medicine work?
Patients pay an annual fee,
and in return, have access to a personal physician 24-hours a
day, 7 days a week. Dr. Bob Nelson becomes a true partner in
your health care in a manner that focuses on proactive disease
prevention and “whole life health”. In other words,
your physician gets to know you, your family, your interests
and activities, your job, your goals, and any and all factors
that play a role in your overall well-being and health.
What
is covered by the annual fee?
Your annual fee covers the personalized
services and care provided by your doctor and staff including
house calls, same-day appointments and an annual executive physical.
Do you accept Medicare or insurance?
Concierge Physicians of
California, Inc. does not accept Medicare or insurance but recommends
that patient’s have, at a minimum, catastrophic insurance
coverage for care including but not limited to: hospitalizations,
emergency room visits, prescriptions, and any laboratory or radiological
studies that are necessary.
